Introduction to dementia. 1 day.

Introduction to dementia is one day course aimed at staff who are not directly involved in working with people with dementia but may come into contact with them.  It provides an understanding of different forms of dementia and the way they can work towards a person centred approach to persons with dementia.

Dementia Activity training 1day

This Training course for staff and volunteers who specialise in activity programmes.  We discuss the different forms of dementia and how it can affect the memory, which in return will alter the different ways that activities can either help or hinder their progression through the illness.

Dementia training. 2day

This is a two day course which can lead onto the Level 2 certificate of dementia awareness qualification, it covers legislation, person centred approach, understanding different forms of dementia and how the brain structure is changed due to dementia

Level 2 Certificate in Dementia awareness.

This is a 120glh (guided learning hours) course that covers, four individual units.  Incorporated in this are two structured training days, e-learning support and workbook completion to attain this course.  The four units make up one completed element contained within the NVQ of Health and Social Care.  This can be accredited towards additional units for someone who is ungoing or completed their level 2 NVQ In Health and Social care.
